Myrtle E. Theilen, 89, of Jamestown, ND died Monday, December 28, 2015 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown.

Myrtle Hill was born August 2, 1926 in Pingree, ND the daughter of James and Maggie (Rice) Hill. She received her education in Pingree schools. She married Johann M. Theilen in 1971. 

Myrtle worked as a waitress for many years at Perkins and the Truck Stop, retiring at the age of 79. She enjoyed playing cards, spoiling her children's pets, and visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She moved to Ave Maria Village in April of 2014. She thought of all the staff as extended family and appreciated the love they showed her. 

She is survived by a son, Bruce (Carol) Judd; daughter in law, Karen Judd; three daughters, Jeannette (Jon) Herman, Carol (Larry) Frye, Cathy (Bob) Grabinger; ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, a sister, Dora Woods, and extended family John Kapfer, and Julie and Clarence Daniels.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Johann, son, Tom, one sister, Ethel, four brothers, Jimmy, George, Charlie, Glen, and brother in law, Ralph Wood. 

Funeral service; 10:30 AM, Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Good Shepherd Chapel, Ave Maria Village, with Deacon Ken Vatava officiating. 

Burial; Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
