William Treacy of this city, died on Saturday, November 19, 1887, at the residence of his brother, the Rev. Father (James P.) Treacy, of Dixon, Illinois, from hemorrhage. Mr. Treacy had gone to visit his brother about two weeks ago and took sick soon after his arrival there. He was a painter by trade and well known in this city. The remains arrived in this city yesterday and the funeral will take place from St. Paul's Cathedral tomorrow morning. Mr. Treacy was 55 years of age and his death will be regretted by his many friends. His brother, Rev. Father (James P.) Treacy was about eight years ago, pastor of St. Bridget's Church, this city.
