Dorothy Butler Bode age 85, born May 6, 1919, passed away Sept. 26, 2004.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004, by Zoeller Funeral Home at the First United Methodist Church by the Rev. Larry Altman. Interment will follow at the San Geronimo Cemetery in Seguin. She will be buried in the Butler Plot beside her husband, Milton Bode, Sr.
Dorothy was born to Sam Lillard Butler and Mary Johnson Butler in Guadalupe County on May 6, 1919.
Survivors are her son Milton Bode, Jr. of New Braunfels and granddaughter Heather Bode Bishop of San Marcos, Texas. She is also survived by brother Sam B. Butler, 97, in a rest home in Seguin, sisters Mrs. Lorene Nitsch, Marie Hauf and husband Joe, and Ethel Knodel and husband Paul of Seguin, and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy’s husband preceded her in death in July of 1992 in Seguin as well as a sister Frances Butler Dolle in October of 2003 at the age of 92.
Visitation will begin for Dorothy Bode at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 28, Zoeller Funeral Home with the family present to receive visitors from 6-7 p.m. at Zoeller Funeral Home.
