Visitation for Mary Ann Barfield-Sherman-Holie, 90, of South Elgin, formerly of Bella Vista, AR will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Funeral Services will begin with prayers on Monday, December 28, 2015, 9:15 AM also at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Mary Catholic Church, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for the Funeral Mass at 10:00AM. The Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.
Mary Ann was born on May 27, 1925 in Germany the daughter of the late Josef and Elizabeth (nee Braun) Zecher and passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015.
Beloved wife of the late Glenn Barfield, Roger Sherman and Elling Holie; loving mother of Laura (Micheal) Boros, Donna Elizabeth Ayers, Richard Barfield and the late Thomas Barfield; loving stepsons; Ken (Pam) Sherman and the late William Roger Sherman and their families; cherished grandmother of Thomas (Lynda) Barfield, Debra (James) Dreyer, Melissa (Daniel) Kusek, Evan (Megan) Boros, Olivia Ayers, Zachary, Cassidy, and Jacob Barfield; great grandmother of Emily, Ryan and Kaelyn Barfield, Liam and Ellie Rose Kusek; dear sister of the late Anita Michaels and the late Alice Kinsella; also surviving are many nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.
