Herbert R Cree, 86, died Thursday evening in St. Martha's Nursing Home in Knoxville.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2PM at the Johnson-Gill-Schuster Funeral Chapel in Galva. Friends may call at the chapel Sunday evening. Rev. John Clarke of Knoxville will officiate. Burial will be in the LaFayette Cemetery.
Mr. Cree was born November 22, 1878, in Stark County and was educated in the rural schools. He was married to Nora Cravens at Galesburg October 1, 1901. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1951. She died June 19, 1958.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Maude White, Kewanee, and two brothers, Ralph and Carl, of Victoria.
