Anthony immigrated in 1895. He was employed as a steel mill laborer in 1930. He became a naturalized citizen of the United States of America on 19 January 1940 in District Court of the United States, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County. He was subject to an autopsy between 7 February 1944 and 10 February 1944 at Braddock and 1st Ward, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County by by William D McClelland, Coroner. The inquisition report said "came to his death at Braddock General Hospital, Braddock, Pa., Monday, February 7th, 1944 at 2:40 A.M. from Cerebral Hemorrage. And from the evidence, the Jury finds death was due to the above cause."
Anthony was unable to read or write English, but spoke both English and Polish. At the time of Naturalization, Anthony was of fair complexion with brown eyes and mixed grey hair. He stood 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighed 180 pounds and was indicated as having defective hearing.
He owned his own home in 1930, valued at $1000, located on Van Buren Street in Braddock Hills. Sometime prior to 1940, he moved to 31 Park Avenue, just a few blocks from his prior home.
