Lois Lillian (Thompson) Neel was born June 10, 1932 in Frayser, Shelby County, Tennessee. She was the forth of eleven children born to Lucy Leona Hardy Moore. Her father was George Thompson, but she carried the Moore name till her marriage. She moved with her family to Wagoner as a teenager, around 1952.

She met her husband, Marvin Vernon Neel, in Wagoner, and they married on 31 July, 1952, in Wagoner, Wagoner County, Oklahoma. They made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Marvin was employed by Meadow Gold. They soon became the parents of three beautiful children; son Vernon Dale, and daughters Donna Sue and Julie. When the children were young, they made their home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, before making the final move back to Tulsa, where they lived until his death.

Lois was employed at Saint Francis Hospital for many years as a nurse aide, mostly working in the surgical area. She later continued her career in health care, providing in home health care. Lois loved to draw and to dance. She was a great singer, and appeared on the radio while living in Tennessee. Her family recalls she was an excellent cook and liked to teach others to cook.

Lillian eventually met, and on 12 Aug 2002 in Florida, married Ival Russell Clodfelter. Mr Clodfelter died unexpectedly in mid-2003.

Lois departed this life Friday, December 18, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 6 months, and 8 days. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy Leona Moore; her husband, Marvin Vernon Neel; a granddaughter, Lela Neel; four sisters, Agnes Johnson, Lucy Moore, Martha Reinholtz, and Dorothy Hardy; and a brother, Bob Hardy.

Survivors include two daughters; Donna Dunnam and her husband, Stan, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Julie Neel; one son, Vernon Neel and wife, Donna, of Eufaula, Oklahoma. Two sisters; Shirley Bacon of Wagoner, Oklahoma, and Polly Allenbach and husband Alan, of Attica, Kansas. One brother, James Moore of Weleetka, Oklahoma. Twelve grandchildren: Lisa Neel, Kim Neel, Roy Neel, Jimmy Neel and wife, Natalie, Vernon Neel, Jr., Becky Smith and husband Solomon, Evelyn Neel, Kristie Dunnam, Nicholas Dunnam, April Dunnam, Ashley Illingsworth and Brandon Illingsworth; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; fifteen great great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.

The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner. The Reverend Rick Boyne will officiate. Family will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner next to husband Marvin.

Viewing will be Sunday afternoon and Monday morning, 9 A.M. until 1 P.M.
