Lee was married to his first wife on March 15, 1910 and had seven children, Meryl Vivian, Bernice Eunice, Maxine Gladys, Alvin Elmer, Effie Olive, Alta Eileen and Unknown. Late thirties Lee was running his own tavern in Alliance. In the late forties Lee and Louise moved from Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Stockton, California to run a trailer park, of which they were also part owner. Lee died while fishing, from a heart attack but doing what he enjoyed most.
