MILDRED SAWTELLE CARSON
CORINNA - Mildred S. Carson,71, died Feb. 27, 1998 at a Pittsfield hospital. She was born Jan. 7,1927, at Dexter, the daughter of Earl and Agnes Louse (Bates) Sawtelle. She graduated from N.H. Fay High School, Class of 1947. She retired from Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna as a weaver. She was a member of the Rebekahs and helped with Meals for ME.
She is survived by two sons, Harry (Dale) of Augusta and Arthur (Dean) of Corinna; four daughters, Judy Edgerly of Hallowell, Violet Carson of Broomfield, CO., Holly Nicholas of Dexter, and Betty Kennedy of New Portland; two brothers Wayne Sawtelle of Bangor and Elmer Sawtelle of Dexter; one sister Jean Edgerly of Dexter; five grandchildren, one great grandson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She will also be fondly remembered by her companion, Robert Colbath.
At her request there will be no public viewing. A spring graveside committal service will be held at Crocker Cemetery, St. A1bans, with the Rev. Edward Jaworski officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, Corinna.
Burial was cremation.
