Helen Anderson Dixon, 72, of Varnumtown passed away Thursday December 17, 2015 at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick surrounded by her children after a brief illness.
Helen was born December 9, 1943 to the late William Anderson and Katie Caison Anderson of Sunset Harbor. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by the love of her life Tentis Dixon, her first born twins and her son Tann Dixon.
She is survived by daughters, Kaye Clemmons Cate (John) of Wilmington, Christy Melton (John) of Rocky Point, Tina Nobles (Kenny) of Leland and Faye Carter (Ronald) of Supply, sons Will Moore of Goldsboro, Tentis Dixon Moore (Dee) and Randy Dixon of Varnumtown, grandchildren Bobby Cate (Amber), Eugene Watts, Tyler Gatlin (Sarah), Vera Nobles, Heather Nobles, Kenneth Nobles, Sheena Wilson (Jeremy), Jeff Benedict (Kaitlin), Ronald Carter-Stanley, Nicole Hurd, Cheyenne Carter, Mark Carter, Harold Carter, Ronald Carter, Heather Laird (Matt) great grandchildren Abby, Noah, Lily, Jase, Jesse, Connor, Elaton, Nycere and soon to be born, Hunter Lee and Chloie Marie.
Helen taught her children many things including that the most important thing in life is family, that true love does exist, a love of photographs and music. She was an wonderful dancer who won many dance contests with her husband Tentis. She supported her family by oystering in the Lockwood Folly Inlet and heading shrimp. She will continue to live on through her descendants because each one has unique traits that they inherited from her.

Arrangements for memorial service will be announced at a later date.

She was cremated and her ashes are buried in Dixon Chapel cemetery beside her spouse Tentis Davis Dixon. Date Jan 2th, 2016
