She was born at home on the ranch on Tie Creek, to Vere and Edna (Lasater) Allan.
She went to country school, and high school in Camp Crook, South Dakota and Sanborn, Iowa where she graduated.
Margaret was married to Leroy Cooper December 10, 1941 in Baker, Montana. They made their home on a ranch in the Jump Off near Buffalo, South Dakota. the family later moved to the old Cooper place near Harding where they lived most of their married life.
She worked in various cafes and always had a project to work on. She helped on the Ranch whenever she was needed.
Mar was accomplished seamstress, we were well dressed, she made her daughter clothes,including beautiful dresses. Not our brother Vere though, he just wanted Cowboy Clothes.
Mar was the mother to 5 children nine nieces, and ten nephews of the Baier, Price, Grooters and Allan families.
Mar was preceded in death by her parents Vere and Edna Allan, husband Jay Leroy Cooper, daughter Sharla Rae, three brothers Bus, Ed, Leslie Allan, a sister Eslyn Grooters and sister in-law Charice Price in passing.
