AFTON – Willard Norman Graybill, 75, of 2117 Greenfield Road, Afton, died (August 30, 2000) at the University of Virginia Hospital.He was born August 29, 1925, the son of the late James Edward and Eliza Orange Graybill in Botetourt County.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rebecca Elizabeth Graybill and 10 siblings.
He is survived by two sons, Walter Nelson Graybill and his wife, Jean of Afton, Ralph Curtis Graybill of Waynesboro; three daughters, Gay Evelyn Fridley and her finacee, Timothy Balser of Greenville, Maybell Graybill and her fiancée, Clarence Campbell of Waynesboro, Dorothy “Dot” Dameron and her husband, Jerry of Afton; one brother, Major Jimmy Graybill of Troutville, one sister Icey Bishop; grandchildren, Cyndi Mawyer, Chris Graybill, Sharon Graybill, Robert Dameron, Richard Dameron, Michelle Graybill, William Fridley, Michael Fridley, Susan Thompson, Barbara Jean Graybill, Mary Graybill, Tammy Graybill and Norman Graybill along with 13 great grandchildren.
Services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at the Waynesboro chapel of Reynolds Funeral Service. Burial will be 2 p.m. at the Trinity Cemetery in Fincastle. There will be no formal procession to the cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Charlie Morriss, Charles Smith, Timmy Wingfield, Tracy Wingfield, Eddie Lawhorn, Scotty Dameron and Mike Thompson.
The family will receive friends 7 - 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
