Absalon Dempsey Bolton, 83, formerly of 1634 Lenox Ave, Salem, died Friday in Powhatan. He was a retired Norfolk and Western Railway carpenter. Funeral will be conducted Monday at 2 pm at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem, by the Rev. Karl L. Crower and the Rev. Maurice Stevens. Pallbearers will be Philip Stewart, Gerald Etter, Oliver and Alfred Gee, and Warren and Ronnie Thompson. The body is at the funeral home.
