Alvin E. Butler, 73, Star City Resident

Alvin E. Butler, 73, of Star City died this morning at Davis Hospital in Pine Bluff.

He was a member of the South Side Baptist Church in Star City.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Butler of Star City; three sons, Troy Butler of Star City, C. L. Butler of Nashville, Tenn., and B. F. Butler of Pine Bluff; four daughters, Mrs. Charlie Drake, Mrs. Curtis Ratterree, Mrs. U. S. Tucker and Mrs. Charlie King, all of Star City; two brothers, J. I. Butler of Star City and Virgil Butler of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Mrs. Tom O'Neal and Mrs. Estell Clary, both of Star City; two half- brothers, Grover Butler of Star City and Bruce Butler of Louisiana; three half-sisters, Mrs. Joe Womack, Mrs. Clyde Fish and Mrs. E. J. Copeland, all of Star City, 23 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held today at South Side Baptist Church in Star City by Dr. Conan Doyle. Burial was in Leek Cemetery by Buie Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Roy Clary, Edwin Clary, Fred Butler, Travis Butler, J. W. Butler and Lloyd O'Neal.
