NANNIE FAYE BARTON
Clintwood, VA- Nannie Faye Barton, age 85, passed away Monday, October 28, 2013 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Clintwood, VA. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Webster and Princey Owens Edwards. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Barton, her companion, Granville Deel, a brother, Arlie Edwards and sisters, Thelma Meade, Joyce Anderson, June Deel and Gaye Edwards.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Rasnake and friend Fred Heaton, five grandchildren, Kennith (Audrey) Rasnake of Bee, Rebecca (Kevin) Scott of NC, Jeffrey (Polly) Rasnake of Council, Tony (Donna) Rasnake of Bee and Elizabeth (Doug) Flora of Roanoke, 12 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, 5 sisters, Kathleen Miller of MI, Betty Deel of KY, Sally McCowan of Clintwood, VA, Oma Breeding of Manassas, VA, Stella Colley of Bristol, VA and two brothers, Onley Edwards of OH and Harold Edwards of Clintwood,VA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Haysi Funeral Home with Curtis Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in Duty Cemetery, Bee, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the funeral home.
