THELMA EDWARDS MEADE MABLETON, GEORGIA - Thelma Edwards Meade, 84, died Monday, January 9, 2006, at Wellstar Cobb Hospital, Austell, Georgia. She was born in Dickenson County, Virginia; daughter of the late Webster and Princey Owens Edwards. She was a member of the Penetecostal Holiness Faith and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Roscoe Meade. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Ballard of Alexandria, Virginia, Glenda McKinney of Dallas, Georgia and Edna Coalson of Franklin, Georgia; five sons, Henry Meade of Warrenton, Virginia, Clyde Meade of Mableton, Georgia, Norman Meade of Mableton, Georgia, Raymond Meade of Marietta, Georgia and Delbert Meade of Villa Rica, Georgia; six sisters, Stella Colley of Tennessee, Catherine Miller of Michigan, Oma Breeden of Virginia, Sally McCowan of Virginia, Faye Barton of Virginia, and Betty Deel of Virginia; one brother, Olny Edwards of Ohio; twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service for Thelma Edwards Meade will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2006 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Jerold Gann officiating. Interment will follow in the Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Mark Meade, Mark Coalson, Andrew Meade, Chris Ballard, Michael Coalson, Charles Tucker, Robert Meade, Kevin Grier, and Joah Newborn. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2006 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
