Funeral services for Edna N. Murphy, age 87, of Kilbourne, LA will be 10AM Tuesday July 22, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Kilbourne with Rev. Bernard Duchesne officiating. Burial will follow in the Kilbourne Cemetery under direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.

Mrs. Murphy was born December 25, 1915 in Greene County, MS and died July 19, 2003 at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove, LA.

She is preceded in death by husband, George E. Murphy Sr.; son-in-law, James L. Shaffer; daughter, Nancy Murphy; granddaughter, Lisa Ann Murphy; granddaughter, Kimberly Sue Murphy; great grandchild, Lauren Paige Foster; parents, John G and Hydle D. Hillman; broters, Lowell G. and Esmond O.and John G. Hillman; sisters, Missouria Gardner, Odie A. Wooley, and Pearl Rainwater.

Suvivors include, son and daughter-in-law, George and Betsy Murphy; son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Brenda Murphy; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Connie Murphy; daughter and son-in-law Doris and B.C. Haley; daughter Elizabeth Shaffer; daughter and son-in-law Leona and James Posey; daughter and son-in-law Mary and Ron Erwin; brother, Charlie Hillman; sister, Hastine Humphries; sister, Melda Welborn; sister, Arnetha Graves; sister Rosa Lee Powell, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
