partial obituary:
Andrew Boyle Sr., 86, formerly of Franklin Street, a machinist for the former Entwhistle Machine Co., Cranston, for 20 years before retiring in 1962, died Saturday at the Holiday Rest Home. He was the husband of the late Bessie (Dobson) Boyle.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, a son of the late Colin and Elizabeth (Cruden) Boyle, he settled in Lincoln upon coming to this country in 1922. He later moved to Pawtucket, and returned to Lincoln in 1979.
Mr. Boyle was a veteran of World War I and served in the British Army. He was a member of the Smithfield Avenue Congregational Church, Pawtucket, and a former member of the deaconate board, and the Men's Bible Class. He was a junior league basketball coach at the church. He was a member of the Fairlawn Lawn Bowlers Club.
He is survived by two sons, a daughter, a brother, a sister, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
