Born in Scotland, he married his wife, Isabella Wallace, in Pennsylvania. They moved to Miami, Az. in about 1916. He worked as a miner. Isabella was very active in civic and political circles, both locally and statewide. She died of breast cancer in 1935. William died of a self inflicted gun shot wound to the head.
