VERNON S. ARCHIBEE RURAL MAIL CARRIER
Vernon S. Archibee, 76, Oswego County Route 17, died Sunday at State University of New York Health Science Center, Syracuse. Born Dec. 26, 1921, in Redfield, son of Lewis and Maude Look Archibee, he was an Army veteran and had lived in Redfield for most of his life. He had been previously married to Blanche Henderson. Mr. Archibee was a rural mail carrier employed by the Redfield Post office for more than 30 years, retiring in 1982. Mr. Archibee was a former member of the Redfield Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are two daughters; a sister; a brother, and five grandchildren. A spring graveside service will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Sanborn-McDaniels & LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Camden.

SGT Archibee was an aircraft mechanic in the 412th Bomb Squadron, 95th Bomb Group (H), of the 8th United States AAF during World War II.
