Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Joyce Hacking Weaver, returned to her heavenly home Nov. 22, 2015, surrounded by family, in Sullivan, Missouri. She will be missed by all who knew her. Joyce was the fourth child of six children born to Owen and Evelyn Johnson Hacking in Vernal, Utah. Growing up she gained a lifelong love for the outdoors. She would often go hunting and fishing with her dad and brothers. Joyce was a "rock hound" and loved to go rock hunting or just pick up and admire a unique rock wherever she happened to be. She was also intrigued by mining. She enjoyed painting and playing the piano and organ. Joyce was very talented and found great pleasure in all of these pastimes throughout her life. She loved collecting spoons from all over the world, which came from her few travels and the many travels of her family members. On Sept. 18, 1956, Joyce married Cerald Don Ericksen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After they were married, Don and Joyce moved to Logan, Utah, so Don could attend college. During a summer break, they returned to Vernal where a daughter, Donna Jean, was born. While living in Logan, Utah, three sons, Steven, Lanny and Michael, were born.In July 1975, Joyce and Don divorced. Joyce enjoyed working for Hyrum city as a city recorder for 9 years. After Marcus' passing in December of 2005, she moved to St. Clair, Missouri, to live with her daughter, Donna. Joyce loved the computer and keeping in touch with friends and family on Facebook.
