Mazel Walker Wright, 95, of Lawndale, NC, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Testa Hospice House in Kings Mountain.
Born October 7, 1920 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Lawson Walker and Lula Warlick Walker. She was retired from Cleveland County Schools where she worked as a guidance counselor at Burns High School. Mrs. Wright was a member of Casar Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Joseph Wright; sister, Geraldine Walker Christopher and two brothers, James Walker and wife, Doris and Donald Walker and wife, Polly.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Joe Wright and wife, Linnie of Lawndale; two grandchildren, Noah Joseph Wright, II and wife, Whitney and Maggie Brooks Wright; and a brother, Raymond Walker and wife, Rosetta of Lawndale.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday at Casar Baptist Church
Funeral Service 2:00 PM, Wednesday at Casar Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Pruett officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
