Services for Hoyt Tucker, 95, of Dallas, TX, (Formerly of Van Zandt Co.) are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday April 9, 2011 at Eubank Chapel under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.
Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton, TX.
He passed away April 5, 2011 in Mesquite, TX.
Mr. Tucker was born May 27, 1915 in Van Zandt County, TX, to "Bill" William and Ollie Victoria Ayers Tucker.
Hoyt attended the Cowboy Church in Mesquite, TX. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He grew up in Van Zandt County but lived in Dallas most of his adult life. Hoyt retired from East Texas Motor Freight. He loved to travel and farm. He also loved to play dominoes and forty-two at the Center where he helped serve the meals. Hoyt never met a stranger. He was a loving father and grandfather.
Alton was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mattie Mae Tucker, 2 brothers, Eli Tucker, Clarence Tucker, 2 sisters, Fay Hyde & Gussie Athey.
Surviving are:
2 Sons: Alton Ray & Sue Tucker of Irving, TX.
Billy Don Tucker of Hercules, CA.
3 Daughters: Wanda Sue McLane of Dallas, TX.
Karen Ann & Larry Brence of Rockwall, TX.
Marla Joy & Bill Beard of Mesquite, TX.
