Mrs. R. E. Scoggin Dies Thursday

Funeral service was held at 6 p.m. Thursday for Mrs. R. E. Scoggin, 59, who died Wednesday night in the Sweetwater hospital.

Rites were held at the Church of Christ, with burial in the city cemetery under direction of Yates Funeral Home.

Besides her husband, she was survived by two daughters, Mrs. John S. Stewart and Mrs. Max Carson, both of Sweetwater; two sisters, Mrs. S. B. Pace of Littlefield and Mrs. H. Pace of Amherst; and a brother, S. B. Hansard of Dallas.

Mrs. Scoggin was born in Tennessee on September 22, 1882. She moved to Texas with her parents when she was a small girl. She had lived in Sweetwater at 1211 Lamar Street for a number of years.
