MRS. ALAMAY B. GOSSETT
Chesnee, Jan 28. – Mrs. Alamay Blanton Gossett, 51, died at her residence, Cowpens, route 1, Sunday night after an illness of three weeks. Mrs. Gossett was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church for 36 years and had a large circle of friends who will mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held at the Mount Olive Baptist Church Tuesday at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Rastus Buchner. Interment will follow in the churchyard. The pallbearers will be Buren Blanton, Dalton Blanton, Johnny Blanton, Dewey Blanton, Webster Blanton and C. H. Powell. The flower bearers will be Miss Elouise Genobles, Miss Agnes Gossett, Miss Fay Gossett, Miss Ophelia Swofford, Miss Dora Blanton and Miss Edith Cash. Mrs. Gossett is survived by her husband S. B. Gossett; one son, Charlie Gossett; one daughter, Mrs. Frances Cash, all of Cowpens, route 1; two brothers, J. K. Blanton, Cowpens, route 1; John Pink Blanton, Gaffney, route 3; four sisters, Mrs. Buck Powell, Cowpens, route 1; Mrs Alice Hamrick, Gaffney, route 3; Mrs. A. B. Powell, Gaffney, route 3; Mrs. Minnie Swofford, Gaffney, route 3. The body will remain at the home until the hour of the services.
