Ida L. Colyer, 79, of McAlisterville, died at 10:34 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at the Bridges at Brookline, Mifflintown.

Born Nov. 24, 1935, in Monroe Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest A., Sr. and Margaret A. (Watts) Feltman. On Nov. 24, 1952, she married her late husband, Albert F. Colyer Sr. with whom she was blessed to share nearly 39 years of marriage, until he preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 1991.

Surviving are: her children, Albert F. Colyer Jr. and his wife, Debra, of Milroy, Terry L. Colyer and his wife, Linda, of Oakland Mills, David W. Colyer, of East Salem, and currently serving in Afghanistan, L. Jeannie Leach and her husband, Steven, of Mifflintown, and Cindy Yorks and her husband, Donald, of Richfield; siblings, George Feltman, of Richfield, Raymond Feltman, of Mt. Pleasant Mills, and Katie Knouse, of Liverpool; and she leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were: two children, Debra Lynn Colyer, in infancy, and Richard E. Colyer; and five siblings, Ernest Feltman Jr., Robert Feltman, Donald Feltman, Betty Roush and Arlene Heller.

Mrs. Colyer was a homemaker, who in later life worked as an in home care provider.

Ida loved to fish, go to yard sales and travel with her children. She also enjoyed going for motorcycle rides and singing old hymns, especially "The Old Rugged Cross."

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, from the Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville with Pastor George A. Swartz officiating. Interment will be private and held in the Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service, Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family will provide all funeral flowers and kindly ask that memorial donations be made in Mrs. Colyer's memory to the Juniata County Food Pantry, P.O. Box 44, Mifflintown, PA 17049, or to the Juniata/Mifflin Pet Pantry, P.O. Box 3, McAlisterville, PA 17049.
