Mr. Allen was born in Jasper County, Ill., and came to Napa with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis R. Allen.
He was married to Clara Lyttle on Aug. 1, 1916.
Mr. Allen was employed at Mare Island as a shipfitter and retired in 1955. He also worked for Southern Pacific in Roseville for several years during the 1930s.
Survivors include his widow; two sons, Donald Allen and Lewis Allen, both of Napa; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
