Son of Harrison and Miss Melat McKane (should be Harrison and Sophia Sipe McKane), he lived in Cranberry Twp, Venango Co, PA, died there of mitral regurgitation and dilatation of heart, per death certificate 28551, whose informant was Arthur Baker of Franklin. Buried Mar 26 1921.


Per PA Marriage License, on Jan 3 1891 in Franklin, Frank McCaine of Rockland Township, farmer, 24, son of Harris and Sophia McCaine, married Ida May Knox of Rockland Township, 19, daughter of Harvey and Jane Knox, with the consent of her mother; first marriage for both.

Franklin, Mar 24 -- Perry Frank McKane, 52, died at his home on the Strong Oil Co. lease, Bredinsburg, at 8:45 am Thursday of heart trouble. He was born on February 22, 1869, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison McKane, and the father, who is 83 years of age, is still living in Franklin.


Almost all his life had been spent in this area. However, for the past two years he has been in failing health and death was not unexpected.


Surviving are two daughters and one son, Mrs. Arthur Baker and Mrs. L. E. McGregor of Cranberry township, and Charles McKane at home; five sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Clyde Cook and Mrs. William Brennan of Pittsburgh, Mrs. George McKinley and Miss Pearl McKane of Polk, Mrs. Samuel Dempsey of Franklin, Bert and Lewis McKane of Pittsburgh.


Services will be at 8:30 am Saturday at the home, with Rev. E. L. Monroe officiating. Interment will be in the Rockland cemetery.
