BOONEVILLE – J.L. Bonds, 78, passed away Friday, Nov. 6, 2015, at Alliance Hospice–Country Cottage in Corinth. He was born Oct. 9, 1937, to Oscar and Louris Lindsey Bonds. He was a retired plumber and well driller. He was a member of East Booneville Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran, and a Mason.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 8, 2015, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Howell officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jane Riddle Bonds; three daughters, Theresa Peters of Corinth, Terry (Tommy) Lee of Joplin, Mo., and Shelia Ryan of Booneville; two sons, Joey (Cindy) Bonds of Muscle Shoals, Ala. and Mike (Tammy) Bonds of Booneville; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one nephew; and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Jessie Pearl Williams.
Visitation will be until service time today at McMillan Funeral Home.
