Death Notice For L. Talmadge Wildes
L. Talmadge Wildes, 96, of Blackshear, died Sunday evening (June 1, 2003) at the home of his daughter, Jean Moore, in Pierce County after an extended illness. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Miles-Odum Funeral Home.

Obituary For L. Talmadge Wildes
Leroy Talmadge Wildes, 96, died at his residence in Pierce County Sunday night (June 1, 2003) after an extended illness.

He was born in Ware County, son of the late Cole and India Wildes and the widower of the late Mellie Eunice Teston Wildes.

He had lived all of his life in Ware, Brantley and Pierce Counties and was a retired bus driver with the Ware County Board of Education and was a member of the Hacklebarney Baptist Church and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. Survivors include one daughter, Jean Moore (Edgar) of Blackshear; three granddaughters, Deborah Moore, Anita Weeks (Kenneth) all of Blackshear, and Sherrie Jordan of Dixie Union; six great-grandchildren Daniel Moore (Heather) Dana Courson, (Scott), Donna Cason (Eddie), all of Dixie Union, Sarah Strickland, Nikki Weeks and Stuart Weeks all of Blackshear; seven great-greatgrandchildren, Hannah Courson, Haley Courson, Jordan Cason, Taylor Cason, Alyssa Cason, Danyon Moore and Zane Moore; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 11 at Hacklebarney Baptist Church. The Senior Adult Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Pallbearers, they are requested to gather at the church at 10:30 Wednesday morning.

Burial will be in the Ben James Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home from 6 to 8 tonight.

A funeral for L. Talmadge Wildes was held Wednesday morning at Hacklebarney Baptist Church with the Pastor Marshall Dixon officiating.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Weeks, Daniel Moore, Eddie Cason, Scott Courson, Donald Dixon and Dennis Carter. Honorary pallbearers were the Senior Adult's Sunday School Class. Miles-Odum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
