Nettie S. Wyatt, 89, of 222 Broad St., Fountain Springs, Ashland, died Saturday afternoon at Ashland Regional Medical Center, Fountain Springs.
Born in Fountain Springs, May 26, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Stella (Meder) Seitzinger, and attended Ashland High School.
Prior to retiring, she was last employed by the former Ashland State General Hospital as assistant supervisor for the housekeeping department. Earlier, she was employed by the former F & S Potato Chip factory, Fountain Springs.
She was a member of Christ Congregational Church, Fountain Springs, where she received an award for 43 years of perfect attendance at Sunday school; and a member of the Ashland Senior Citizens, the Gordon Senior Citizens, the American Hose Co. No. 1, Fountain Springs, and the Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees, Camp Hill.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Joseph, Dec. 9, 1975; and sisters, Adel Yarworth, Grace Jacoby, Faye Allvord, and Lois Allsop.
Surviving are her son, Luther Wyatt, Fountain Springs; sisters, Jean Kehler and Hope Brill, both of Fountain Springs; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Religious funeral services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, 1323 Centre St., Ashland. Officiating will be the Rev. Merrill Q. Ressler, former pastor of Christ Congregational Church, Fountain Springs.
Interment took place in Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs.
