MOTHER OF COUNTY ASSESSOR IS DEAD

Mrs. Margaret Canty Costello, 70, 1215 Cleveland Avenue, mother of John P. Costello, member of the East St. Louis Board of Education and Thomas M. Costello, member of the Board of Assessors, died yesterday in her home after an illness of two years.
The funeral will be tomorrow at 8:30 a.m., from the Burke mortuary, 3300 State Street to St. Joseph's Church, Illinois Avenue and Columbia Place and Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Mrs. Costello is survived by her husband, Edward Costello, four sons, two daughters and three sisters.
