Margaret was the daughter of William Trimble and Jane Hill. She married Leonard McCreery on Nov 14, 1898 in Essex county, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of Mabel, Lydia (1892-1986 MI), Agnes, Ruby, and Thomas L.

Storm Lake Register - Mar 7, 1950 - Margaret Ann Trimble was born on Feb 9, 1868 in North Gower, Ontario, Canada. She was the youngest of the 10 children of William and Jane Hill Trimble. She passed away last Tuesday afternoon at the home of her son in law and daughter, Mr and Mrs A.O. Becker of Wadena, MN after suffering a heart attack the day before. Although her death was unexpected, Mrs McCreery had suffered a heart condition for the past 5 years.

While a girl she moved with her parents to Essex county, Ontario, where she attended school. She was married to Leonard W McCreery Nov 14, 1898 in Essex county, where the couple lived until they came to Calhoun county, Iowa in 1897.

In 1915 they moved to Storm Lake where Mr McCreery was the proprietor of the Storm Lake Produce company until his death Feb 6, 1931.

Mrs McCreery was a life long member of the Methodist church and was especially active in missionary work. While in Storm Lake she was an active member of the Eastern Star. For the past 5 years she had lived with her daughters in Storm Lake, Des Moines, Iowa City and Wadena, MN.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her four daughters: Mrs A.O. (Mabel) Becker, Wadena, MN; Mrs Harold (Lydia) Lancaster, Grand Rapids, MI; Miss Agnes McCreery, Des Moines; and Mrs G.B. (Ruby) Eginton, Storm Lake; and one son, Thomas L McCreery, of Des Moines. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Hughes Funeral home. Interment was in the Storm lake cemetery.

In addition to the floral tributes, friends have started a memorial fund to go to Hwa Nan college in Foochow, China, which was founded by Mrs McCreery's sister, Lydia Trimble in which Mrs McCreery had a deep interest.
