Richmond Carr, 76, of Checotah, Oklahoma, died Monday, October 19, 2015 at Eastar Hospital Muskogee. He was born and raised in Hanna, Oklahoma to Robert Carr and Winey (Fish) Carr. He was raised by his grandmother, Maleya Fish. He moved to Oklahoma City and lived there until 1981. On November 19, 1966, Richmond married Frankie Lewis. They resided in Oklahoma City and Richmond became a master machinist. Richmond became an ordained minister on May 23, 1976. In 1981, he and his family moved to Checotah, Oklahoma to pastor Deep Fork Hillabee Church. He continued to minister and teach God’s word for many years. He was a faithful servant and was truly a man of God who talked and walked the faith. At the time of his departure Richmond pastored Okfuskee Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Okfuskee Baptist Church in Eufaula with Rev. Wallace Gambler and Rev. Earnest Best officiating. Interment will follow in Okfuskee Baptist Cemetery.
