Sarah Austin Lair, 82, North Manchester, died at 4:20 p m. Friday, March 25 in Wabash County Hospital.

She was born June 21, 1900 near Rossville. Her first marriage was to Harvey Austin in 1920. They farmed in the Rossville and Pyrmont areas until 1944 when they moved to Flora. Mr. Austin died in 1958. Her second marriage, in 1959, was to John Lair and they lived near Eldorado. Ohio. He died in 1977. She later moved to North Manchester.

Surviving are two sons. Lawrence of Grant, Ok., and Marvin of Indianapolis; one stepson. Clarence Lair of Richmond; and a stepdaughter, Lucille Winkler, Eaton, Ohio. Also, two sisters, Dora Niccum and Martha Remicker North Manchester; a brother, Andy Skiles, Anderson and a half-brother, Loren Skiles, West Lafayette.

Funeral services were at the Old German Baptist Church at North Manchester and burial was at the Middle Fork; Cemetery, near Rossville.
