Son of John Tatum Fullilove & Lucy Greer. He was a successful Planter in Mississippi and Louisiana. He married Tabitha Christian Holmes on December 10, 1831, in Oglethorpe County, Ga. The family migrated through Alabama and Mississippi before settling in Caddo Parish, LA. They had five children: Thomas Pope (b. 1832), Sarah Lucinda (b. 1837), John Tatum (b. 1839), Priscilla Ann Elizabeth (b. 1841), and James Hill, Sr. (b. 1848). Mr. J. G. Fullilove, a most highly esteemed and useful citizen, died at Chalk Level plantation, in this parish, on last Sunday, in the 88th year of his age. He was a native of Georgia, and came to Shreveport in 1840.
