William Matthew "Bill" Becker is the son of Johan Wilhelm "John William" Becker and Margaret "Molly" (Warner) Becker.

On April 26, 1893, Bill married Norah McElvany, daughter of Samuel Houston McElvany (1852 – 1930) and Elsa Jane (McSwain) McElvany (1851 – 1883) [1]

The 1900 Census finds Bill and Norah living in Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas, with the first three of their children, Samuel, Eugene, and Hugh. [2]

Bill and Norah were the parents of the following children:

Samuel E. Becker (1894 – 1910)

Eugene Vernon Becker (1895 – 1993)

Hugh Mcelvany Becker (1896 – 1986)

William Joyner Becker (1902 – 1985)

Albert Russell Becker (1905 – 1992)

The 1920 Census finds Bill and Norah living on South Presa Street, in San Antonio Ward 7, Bexar County, Texas, with their three youngest children, Hugh, Joyner, and Russell. [3]

According to his Death Record, Bill was living with his family at their residence at 244 Oriental Street, San Antonio, Texas when he died April 21, 1927, at sixty-one years of age
