Jimmy Ray Bowden, Sr., passed away on April 20, 2011, at his home in Electra.
He was born April 17, 1934 in Vashti, Texas to Mabel and Sebe Bowden. He graduated from Electra High School and worked his entire life in the oil fields.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Cecil B. Bowden. He is survived by his wife Lucille Elaine Bowden; his son, Jimmy Ray Bowden, Jr. and daughter, Deborah Brazeal and husband Gary. Also surviving are grandchildren: Mandy Bowden, Chelsea Bowden, Dylan Bowden and Kerry Blaine Page, Jr. Great grandchildren: Tyler Bowden, Taylor Bowden, Logan Woodman and Chloe Page. Also sisters and spouses, Billie and Harry McAninch, Donna and Jerry Hodges, Faye and Lowell Janzen and Ina Beth Jacques. Brothers and spouses, Leon and Barbara Bowden, Monty and Linda Bowden and Wayne Bowden. He is also survived by a large extended family.
