Mrs. Louise Trimble Hazard, age 61, passed away Wednesday evening at the family home in DeKalb, where she had lived for the past 26 years. Her death was very sudden although she was still under the care of her attending physician following an automobile accident six weeks ago. Although able to leave the hospital some time ago she still had not recovered from her injuries.
She was born at Princeton, November 25, 1881, the daughter of the late Attorney Marshall U. and Sallie Thomson Trimble of Princeton. She was educated in the schools at Princeton graduating from the high school there in 1900. Until her marriage, she served as secretary to her father at Princeton.
In 1903 she was married to H. Harold Hazard of DeKalb, Mr. Hazard preceding her in death October 16, 1941. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors and of the First Baptist church in DeKalb.
Ten children survive to mourn the death, Mrs. Frank Ransford of Davis Junction, Marshall and Francis of Ottawa, Mrs. Lawrence Brayton of DeKalb, Oliver of Lafayette, Ind., Thomas of Monmouth, Mrs. Merle Johnson of Sycamore, Mrs. William Bellendorf, of Kirkland, and Sgt. Austin and Cpl. Donald serving in the armed forces and who are overseas. Twelve grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. H. P. Grove of Princeton also survive.
