Mrs John Ross died at her home, 535 Kossuth Street, Friday at 5 p.m. Deborah Wilkinson Ross was born of English parents at Ormstown, province of Quebec, Canada, Sept 25, 1837. She was married at Lisbon, Illinois, October 4, 1860, to John Ross and they celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary in 1920 a few weeks before Mr Ross death. The family lived for many years in Benton county near Earl Park, where Mr Ross was one of the pioneers and an extensive landowner; he also operated a grain elevator. Mrs Ross was a member of the Central Presbyterian church. Mrs Ross was the mother of 11 children. Those surviving are: James C Ross, Los Angeles; John B Ross, Essex Ontario Canada; Mrs Cloyd Marshall of California; Mrs Francis Jones, Portland Oregon; Mrs William J Kienly and Mrs Mary Ross Weigle, of Lafayette. Twelve grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held at the residence Monday at 2:20 p.m. Dr W R Graham officiating - Burial in Springvale cemetery.
