Rowland Joseph Paul Frampus of Wheaton, MN formerly Burr Oak, KS; aged 87, passed away October 8, 2015 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND, surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bainbridge Funeral Home in Wheaton with Rev. David Strom officiating. Special music will be provided by his granddaughter Safiyo Hassan. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. 

Rowland was born January 11, 1928 in Gloucester City, NJ to Charles Elmer and Bertha Emma (nee: Whitaker) Frampus. He grew up in Camden, NJ where he enjoyed the smells from the Campbell’s Soup Factory. As a teen Rowland wanted to help his country by serving in the US Army during WWII. He worked 23 years as a chef.

In 1971 Rowland met the girl that would change his outlook on marriage, Anne Catharine Jo Scott. They were united in marriage on October 6, 1973 in Clayton, NJ. They worked together helping disabled children. Rowland loved to travel and took many road trips throughout his life. To the union they were blessed with 4 wonderful children and 26 grandchildren.

Rowland was a die hard Packer fan and loved to play pinochle and western movies were his favorite. He loved to read and his favorite book, besides the Bible, was his Joy of Cooking.

Rowland was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Bertha; his brothers William and John; His sisters Kathryn and Alice; his grandchildren Zahraa Angel, Mercury Lake Silver Moon, Alexander Calvin, and Bilal Zaire. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Anne of Wheaton, MN; His children John (Amanda) Frampus of Esbon, KS; Rebekah Frampus of Wheaton, MN; Deborah (Bashir) Hassan of Bellevue, WA; and Ekela (Thomas) Raile of Stanley, ND. His grandchildren Midnight, Eclipse, Safiyo, Obsidian, Davin, George III, Rowland, Xassan, Zackery, Josiah, Khayro, Echo, Gabriel, Inaaya, Keana, Xuseyn, Evolet, Bennett, Mikhail, Jybriil, Tobiah, and Lily. Also missing him is his special niece Peggy and several other nieces and nephews.
