Jackie D. Dryden, 71, Oregon, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at his home.

He was born June 23, 1930, in Forest City, the son of Gestring and Maude Arnold Dryden.

He married Twila Kurtz June 6, 1953. She survives of the home.

He attended school in Forest City and was engaged in farming until serving in the Army during the Korean War from 1955 to 1957. He then worked on interstate highway construction as a member of the Teamsters Union. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Oregon.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew, Delmos and Vernie; and three sisters, Rose George, Genevieve Ellis and Eloise Jones.

He is also survived by a son, Roderick of Oregon.

Services will be Friday, at the First Christian Church, Oregon, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon, Mo.
Pastor Jim Kelly and the Rev. Ron Thomure will officiate.
Military rites will be by Harris E. Petree American Legion Post 190, Oregon, Mo.
Arrangements: Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon, MO.
