WILLIAM McKINLEY
William Mckinley was born in Ashland County, Ohio, October 10, 1856 the son of William and Sarah McKinley, and departed this life Feb. 4, 1927, at the age of 70 years, 3 months, and 24 days. In the year 1862 William McKinley moved to DeKalb county with his parents, where he was reared and attended public school. In 1888, Mr. McKinley was united in marriage to Miss Etta Swank, and to this union were born two children, Thomas Franklin, who died infancy and Milo, at home. He leaves to mourn his going his wife and son, three grandchildren and three sisters, Minnie Custer, Lida Furnish, Jane Parry and three brothers, Jim, Frank and Steve, and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by 10 of brothers and sisters.
Mr. McKinley lived all his life in DeKalb county except the last ten years, when he moved to the present home. Mr. McKinley was beloved by all who knew him, a good friend and husband and father. Funeral services were held at South Scott cemetery Monday, Feb. 7, conducted by Dr. John Humfreys.
