Mrs Arminda Custer Dies At Age of 91
Mrs ARMINDA CUSTER, age 91, of Rt 2 Auburn who had been residing during the winter months in the home of a son, Walter Custer of 909 South Peters Street Garrett died at the Garrett home at 2:30 pm Wednesday of senility. Mrs Custer had been in poor health for the past several years.
She was born on April 18, 1860 in Stark County Ohio, but had resided in DeKalb county for the past 89 years. Her husband, William A Custer, passed away on Nov 25, 1939.
Surviving besides the son in Garrett are three other sons, AJ Custer of Rt 1 Garrett, William A Custer Jr of Rt 2 Auburn, and Artie L Custer of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Mrs Amos Faust of For Wayne: 29 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs Sarah Louise Furnish of Garrett.
Mrs Custer was a member of the Dunkard church.
The body was removed to the Zimmerman Funeral Home in Garrett for burial preparations. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
