George Barry Porter
George Barry Porter, 84, died Friday at the Veterans Home of California.
Mr. Porter was born in San Francisco. He served in the medical corps of the U.S. Army during World War I. He worked as a laborer for 50 years. He has lived at the Veterans Home since 1979. He is survived by his friend, Donna Mercure of Martinez.
Services will be held at the Veterans Home, Thursday at 3 p.m. with Father Andre Tournier officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery in Vallejo. Arrangements under the direction of Napa Valley Memorial Gardens Mortuary.
