Our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Ardith Marie Finnegan Beck passed away October 5, 2015. She was born July 4, 1931 in Heber City, UT to William John and Eliza Bernice Mair Finnegan, and grew up in Park City, UT. She married Carl Clifton Beck August 14, 1948; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Carl died September 15, 2000. Ardith was an active member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed gardening, painting and music, and was very artistic. She cherished having her family around her, especially her grand and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, William Carl (Renee) Beck, Robert Ray Beck, and Karla Jeanine (Dennis LeLand-deceased) Hanson; brothers, Lawrence Dee Finnegan, Michael Bruce O’Finnegan, and Thomas Lynn O’Finnegan; brother-in-law, Brent Mackay; 23 grand and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband; parents; son-in-law, Dennis Hanson; brother, John William Finnegan; sister, Sharon Bernice Mackay; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Spencer Finnegan.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Lake Ridge 9th Ward, 7825 W. Sharon Dr. (3340 S.). Viewings will be held Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., and Friday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be held Friday 2:30 p.m. at the Heber City Cemetery.
