Mrs. Della May "Casey" Wilhite, a former La Grange resident, passed away Sunday in Halstead, Kansas. She was 92.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 5, in the La Grange City Cemetery with Rev. Bob Little officiating.
Mrs. Wilhite was born in Denton County, Texas on September 12, 1877 a daughter of M. L. and Dora Ann "Nail" Casey. She was married to Charley Alexander Wilhite, who preceded her in death on December 7, 1935. Formerly of Cushing, Okla. , Mrs. Wilhite resided in Wichita, Kansas, since 1954. She was a La Grange Resident from 1930 until 1936.
Survivors include four (4) daughters, Mrs. Ruthene Milford of Goddard, Kansas, (Owen), Mrs. Jennie Martin of Corpus Christi, Texas, (Arthur), Mrs. Edith Dollar of Noblesville, Indiana, (Reuben), and Mrs. Juanita Durrenberger of Richards, Texas, (Walter); four (4) sons, Elmer of Minco, Okla., (Iva), Arthur of Miami, New Mexico, (Mattie), Walter of Magnolia, Arkansas, (Flaye), James of Houston, Texas, (Lucille); three (3) sisters, Mrs. Jennie Allen of Denver, Colorado, (John) Miss Emma Casey of Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Edna Bishop of Orange, Florida; twenty-five (25) grandchildren and fifty-eight (58) great grandchildren.
