"Following funeral services at Dubuque, conducted by the Rev. A.A. Rideout, pastor of the First Baptist church, the body of Mrs. Frances Sickles was brought here Tuesday for burial at the Oak Hill cemetery. The greater part of her life had been spent here, where she was born Frances Chambers, June 15, 1860. Her home had been in Dubuque for the past 14 years. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Addie Smothers, and one son, Orville Ray, both of Dubuque, and 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren."
