Larry James Augustine, 70, died Oct. 1, 2015, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born July 8, 1945, in Hays, to Joseph and Sophie (Weber) Augustine.

He married Phyllis Joan Bishop on Jan. 17, 1970, in Ellis. She survives. Other survivors include: sons, Brian Augustine (Stephanie) of Hutchinson, Shawn Augustine (Heather) of Manhattan, Kan.; grandchildren, Shelby, Joshua, Emily and Cameron; brothers, Leonard Augustine, Elmer Augustine, both of Hays, and Harold Augustine of Hutchinson; sisters, Martha Beer of Wichita, Dorothy Younger of McPherson, and Janie Daniels of Laramie, Wyo. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Robert and Donald Augustine.

Parish Rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015, at the Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Father Roger S. Lumbre and Father Gale Hammerschmidt officiating. Burial will be at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to the Larry Augustine Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
