Ellis -- Robert Joseph Augustine, 67, Ellis, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003. Mr. Augustine was born May 14, 1935, in Ellis.

He was the owner/operator of Ellis Daylight Donut Shop for 25 years, retiring in 2001.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife, Rosita of the home; two daughters, Stacy Befort of Ellis and Donna Behring of Flower Mound, Texas; three sons, Robert Jr. of London, England, Lonny of Fort Collins, Colo., and Kevin of Billings, Mont.; five brothers, Leonard and Donald, both of Ellis, Elmer of Hays, Harold of Great Bend and Larry of Hutchinson; three sisters, Martha Mae Beer of WaKeeney, Dorothy Younger of McPherson and MaryJane Daniels of Laramie, Wyo.; and 13 grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church, Ellis. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ellis. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hays Medical Center or the family. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
